… this song has come up in my head at least once a day for the past week or so. i think it’s because my man has been ill and I keep thinking sweet caring thoughts (*shhhh* don’t tell him) when he is coughing or complaining. and somehow for that reason the words “honey pie” are permanently on my lips. makes sense.. (?)

… myyyy, bluuue, heaven. started singing this old song this morning when humming random tunes, getting dressed and wondering if should wear my hat today or not (i bought it as a joke at a festival). i was in a hat mood on this lovely friday morning. anyway, somehow i felt like this sort of song would fit someone wearing a hat and walking down the street in a cheerful manner, taking their hat off every now and then to bow and smile. good day sir!

… i’ve just had a lot of fleetwood mac & beatles stuff in my head for two days.
i always thought that she was saying “i wanna be with you if you wait” in this song. but apparently she just wants to be with him “eve-ry-where” (not if-you-wait)… kindof gives the song a new meaning. but then again, asking the guy to wait pretty much contradicts the other lines in the song where she is saying “common darling, better make a start, you better make it soon before you break my heart” … guess i wasn’t really thinking this interpretation through.
anyway, still a good song even thought it’s not called “be with you if you wait”…

an 80’s gem. there is something somewhere in my flat that makes me sing this song. it pops up in my head in the evening every now and then when i spend time in my room and i have a feeling that something i see or read is causing it. hmmh.
have never seen the video before, it’s really good actually. hahaha. all sorts of crazy colorful people dancing, eating, flexing, puppeteering, eating spaghetti… in a cartoony cutout park setting.
