on my music mind

Phil Collins - Seperate Lives

… you have no right to speak to me so kind.

Champaign - How ‘Bout Us

how ‘bout us. how ‘bout this. how ‘bout that.

at work. lots of ideas. mostly good. made me think of this tune.

REO Speedwagon - In Your Letter

… i’m working on a feature involving offer letters. making it better. letter letter letter.

this song is from their album “high infidelity”, an album i listened to a lot as baby, toddler, kid… my parents loved it. i can probably sing a long to every song.

“in your letter, you said you didn’t love me, you said you didn’t need me… but you could have said it better —- oooh in your letter”

E.L.O & Olivia Newton John - Xanadu

I’m following Alexander Armstrong on Twitter. His username is Xanaroo… sometimes when I see his name in my feed I’m left with this song in my head for the next twenty minutes. Not that I’m complaining :)

Roxette - Dressed for Success

… looking at the word success a lot this morning, was it in code somewhere? i cannot remember. also i’m in a friday mood so i guess this song just lingered in my head.

why don’t i have any roxette on my iPod ?! must-fix

Paul & Paula - Hey Paula

… i have a paul in my office. sometimes when i’m making my tea i can see his little head behind his desk on the other side of the kitchen… and i start singing this song :)

Kool and the Gang - Joanna

… banaaaaana, i looooove you, you’re the one, the one for me.

I was shopping in Tesco and grabbed some lovely bananas. next thing i know i’ve been singing this tune for a few minutes with my altered texts of “banana” instead of joanna.

bananas are good aren’t they :)

Steelheart - She’s gone

the girl sitting next to me at work is gone. nobody knows where to. we never spoke.

Wouldn’t It Be Nice - Beach Boys

… long time no “sea”.

i’m working on some software design stuff today, building wireframes for our next release. thought to myself earlier “wouldn’t it be nice if it would x y z” and have been humming this little tune ever since. it’s quite a positive little tune to have in your head during a design type cycle.

Cowboy Junkies - Sweet Jane

… someone has been a bad music blogger. first letter “ME”.

i’m working on this application at work to make offers and costings for tours. for testing purposes i’m creating a tour with the cowboy junkies to go through norway. so, for the last two mornings their name has been on my screen… and for the last two days i’ve been humming this old song.

the natural born killers soundtrack was pretty good come to think of it… i fell in love with this cover anyway. i actually prefer it to the original (sorry lou reed)

spring is in the air… and i plan to spill my music mind on here more regularly.
